Welsh National Opera returns with an Autumn Season which features deep tragedy, cunning humour and stimulating stories.

Rossini’s witty tale of love, lust and trickery, The Barber of Seville opens the Season when through a series of comical events and deception Figaro takes on the role of matchmaker.

A heart-wrenching tale of hope, love and despair, Jenůfa has captivated audiences for a century. WNO Music Director Tomáš Hanus conducts WNO’s acclaimed production that was described as ‘the most powerful yet’ last time it toured.

The Season closes with an ambitious new opera, featuring a cast of 100 and WNO Orchestra. Through six stories, by writers of diverse backgrounds, WNO explores Migrations from multiple angles: from the migration of birds to the sailing of The Mayflower 400 years ago.
