Claire was born in Staffordshire and started her professional training at the Royal Northern College of Music. She continued her training after gaining a major scholarship from the Peter Moores Foundation.
Claire joined the WNO Chorus in 2002. A personal highlight was her debut role for the Company, Jana in Jenůfa, directed by Katie Mitchell. This was later recorded for Chandos Records under the baton of Sir Charles Mackerras. She has enjoyed many years with WNO, both as a chorister and principal artist, and hopes to enjoy plenty more music-making years to come.
