In our Summer 2020 Season, we pair up two contrasting pieces in our double bill: Stravinsky’s The Nightingale and Bartók’s Bluebeard’s Castle. In the first piece, puppets interact with the singers to bring the fairy tale to life, and in the second act Sir Bryn Terfel returns to WNO in the title role of this dark, disturbing story.

There is also a chance to see The Nightingale as part of our Explore Opera Day on Sunday 14 June. The Season is completed by two performances of The Barber of Seville, Rossini’s witty tale of love, lust and trickery.

Tickets are on sale for WNO Partners and WNO Friends from 5 July, with multi-buy packages available on general sale from 12 July. Tickets are available for individual operas from 30 August.
