WNO Rhondda 17/18 DI

Rhondda Rips it Up illustrative artwork in purple and green shows two ladies in period dress either side of a banner that says Elena Langer's Rhondda Rips it Up! Purple curtains frame the image.

This year, WNO brings the story of Lady Rhondda, Margaret Haig Thomas, to life with Rhondda Rips It Up! It tells the tale of the unsung heroine of the Welsh Suffrage movement, who campaigned tirelessly for women’s rights, taking on peers, politicians and even post boxes in a struggle for women’s suffrage.

We showcase this woman’s fight for liberty, survival and equality in a number of ways: from community events and talks, to schools workshops and interactive digital experiences – all alongside the fully staged production of Rhondda Rips It Up!, touring across Wales and England throughout Summer and Autumn 2018.

Deeds not Words! – donate to the cause now to bring Rhondda Rips It Up! to life in your community, and help us keep telling Lady Rhondda’s story.
