Gwyn Hughes Jones
Overview
Gwyn Hughes Jones is from Llanbedrgoch, Anglesey, and trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He made his professional debut in 1995 with WNO as Ismaele in Nabucco and represented Wales two years later at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World. Jones has since performed at many of the world’s major opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York and l’Opéra national de Paris. He returned to Anglesey in 2017 as Music Director of the Gala Concert at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.
