As a valued WNO Friend or Patron you have access to exclusive behind-the-scenes events.
You have the opportunity to glimpse into rehearsals, chances to meet the WNO team, backstage tours and more. Below are the current events available to book and more will be added through the year so keep checking back.
Due to limited availability members are eligible for a maximum of two tickets unless otherwise stated on the event listing.

Behind the scenes at Eastmoors stores
Thursday 12 June, 2 - 4pm
Thursday 19 June, 10am - 12pm
Thursday 3 July, 2 - 4pm
Tickets: £20
Be guided around our Eastmoors store, Cardiff by a member of our technical team and be dazzled by an array of our sets, props and costumes up close.
Please note that these tours will be for smaller groups and will include transportation to and from Wales Millennium Centre to our stores. Access to our costumes and props areas are via staircases only, no lift is available.

Diolch and Thank you membership event
Sunday 6 July – Spiro's Fine Catering and Events, Cardiff.
Our first “Diolch and Thank you” membership event will take place on Sunday 6 July hosted by Spiro’s Fine Catering and Events at their venue, Cornerstone, in central Cardiff. Meet other supporters before heading over to our Associate Artists’ Recital a short walk away at Tabernacl.
Members who book for this event will receive a discount code to purchase tickets for the Recital itself. Please contact the Development Team to book yourself into the event and then use your discount code to book tickets for the Recital separately.

Join WNO’s Development team for a Q&A with Blaze of Glory’s director, Caroline Clegg and conductor, James Southall; an insight into the specialist and varied work of our skilled props team and performances from our new Associate Artists.

Members' coffee mornings
Saturday 27 September – Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff
11am - 1pm
Tickets: £15
Join us for tea, coffee and cake and an insight into the unique world of surtitling for an opera company with the Company’s Surtitle Operator, Daniel Aguirre-Evans.

Meet the archivists and librarian
Tuesday 23 September, 25 November – Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff
10am - 12.30pm
Tickets: £15
Enjoy a morning in the company of WNO's two volunteer archivists - John Richardson and Ian Douglas and the company’s Senior Music Librarian, Georgina Govier. Hear about the work of our archive and music library, while looking around our in-house set up in a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of time to ask questions and share knowledge. This is only available for a maximum of four people.
