Max Hoehn
Overview
Born in London to Swiss-Hungarian parents, Max Hoehn began his career as a trainee director at Theater an der Wien and the Zürich Opera House. As an Assistant and Revival Director he has worked at companies including Welsh National Opera, Glyndebourne, Oper Frankfurt, Oper Leipzig, and Grand Théatre de Genève. He was nominated as Best Young Director at the 2016 International Opera Awards and was a prize-winner at the 9th European Opera Directing Awards. He has translated Khovanshchina for Birmingham Opera Company and is currently writing a libretto for a new opera, Sonata for Broken Fingers.
