Simon Bailey
Frankfurt-based bass-baritone Simon Bailey has garnered critical acclaim for his interpretations of a diverse and eclectic range of roles over the course of his career. An alumnus of the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, Clare College Cambridge and the Royal Northern College of Music, he has worked with leading companies internationally.
A former member of the soloists ensemble at Oper Frankfurt, Bailey’s career highlights have seen him perform major roles with some of the world’s leading companies including La Scala, Milan; RBO; Royal Swedish Opera; Staatsoper Stuttgart; Theater Dortmund; Theater an der Wien; Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre; La Monnaie; Tiroler Festspiele Erl; Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden; Saarländisches Staatstheater; Opéra National du Rhin; Wexford Festival; WNO; ENO; Opéra de Lille; Opera Ballet Vlaanderen; Theater Basel; Glyndebourne Festival Opera; and Munich Opera Festival.
