
Thibault Vancraenenbroeck
Originally from Brussels, Thibault Vancraenenbroeck trained in Florence: he creates scenes and costumes for dance, theatre and opera. He is an active member of the company Sturmfrei. For Grégoire Pont and James Bonas he has created scenography and costumes for L’enfant et les sortilèges and L’heure Espagnole (Ravel), Der Mond (Orff), Snow Queen (Abrahamsen). For James Bonas, he has created scenography and costumes for L’Étoile (Chabrier). He has created two video installations based on the writings of Maurice Blanchot, ‘Waiting For Oblivion’ and ‘The Madness Of The Day’. He also leads a photography project in association with Grégoire Romefort. From 2001 to 2008 he worked regularly at the École Supérieure d’Art Dramatique of the National Theatre of Strasbourg as a lecturer and member of the assessment panel for the Set and Costume Design Department and in the Costume Department of the Royal Academy in Antwerp.
