The Last Goodbye

The Last Goodbye reaches profound levels of immersion in service of the first ever virtual reality testimony that will be archived and preserved.
In July 2016, Holocaust survivor Pinchas Gutter toured the Majdanek Concentration Camp in what he vowed would be his final visit. The Last Goodbye reaches profound levels of immersion in service of the first ever virtual reality testimony that will be archived and preserved. The importance of listening to Pinchas’s story is more important now than ever and this is also a beautiful testament to love, compassion and the human spirit.
What is Freedom Immersive Exhibition?
This specially curated exhibition features a collection of acclaimed virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) work that explores some of the political themes examined within our Freedom opera season.
Is the experience okay for children? VR and AR manufacturers have set an age restriction of 13 and above. So unfortunately under 13’s will not be able to participate in the VR/AR element of the exhibition. Adult supervision for under 18’s is required at all times.
I have questions about accessibility The venue and installations is wheelchair accessible. Please include any requirements as part of your booking online.
I suffer from motion sickness can I take part? If you suffer motion sickness we do not recommend you take part. However you can suspend your experience at any point if you experience nausea or dizziness.
Can I participate if I’m pregnant? As this experience involves elements of movement and motion, so may cause dizzy spells, participation is not recommended.
I have a pacemaker is it safe for me to participate? We would recommend not participating as some of the VR technology could interfere with pacemakers.
Can I use a headset if I have a skin condition? Unfortunately you cannot use the headset if you have a contagious skin condition. Some headsets contain natural rubber latex that may cause allergic reactions for people who are sensitive to latex.
Can I take photos? Yes please take photos and tag us on social media using the hashtag #WNOFreedom
Can I wear glasses during the experience? Yes, all of the headsets are adjustable and built with enough space between the lenses and face for you to experience the content without discomfort.
Can I get a ticket on the day? We would recommend booking a free ticket online to avoid disappointment. However tickets will be available on the day subject to availability.
When should I arrive? Please try and arrive 5 mins before you scheduled session unfortunately we cannot guarantee entry if you arrive late for your booked session.
