As we head towards spring, now is the perfect time to reflect on Welsh National Opera’s achievements made over the past year. Our Annual Review celebrates those achievements and work over the 2017/2018 season.

Over the past year we have reached over 135,000 people on a local, national and international stage. We have created opera that is vivid, exhilarating and bold, from our critically acclaimed Russian Revolution Season to Rhondda Rips it Up!, our rip roaring new commission celebrating the life of Welsh suffragette Margaret Haig Thomas.

We have reached further with our work, performing to a total worldwide audience of over 100,000 through 110 live performances in 30 touring venues across Wales, England and the world.

We used the power of opera to inspire tens of thousands of people within our communities through our education and outreach work. Across the UK, from Llandudno to Southampton, our programme of family concerts, schools workshops, community choruses and regional youth opera groups helps us to nurture new talent and the next generation of opera lovers.
