Cavaradossi sits on a velvet chair, staring angrily to his right. Scarpia, dressed formally, stands to his left, his hand upon the chair and a sinister expression on his face. His three henchmen stand behind.

Cavaradossi and Angelotti are crouched down, turned away from the audience. They look towards many spotlights, which glow with light. To their left is a fresco of Mary Magdalene which Cavaradossi has been painting.

Cavaradossi and Tosca share a moment of closeness and affection. Cavaradossi stands behind his painted fresco singing. Tosca sits on top of the fresco, her legs dangling over it. She smiles at Cavaradossi, clutching his arm while he holds her knee.

Cavaradossi stands to the right of his painted fresco, his hand hovering above Mary Magdalene's left eye. He wears a jacket splattered with paint.

Scarpia is on his knees at the centre of the stage. He wears a suit and formal jacket and raises his face and palms to the sky. Behind him is a priest, and a crowd of fashionable people and choral singers surround him, their arms reaching towards him. Many spotlights glow with light, and the golden dome hangs above.

A young boy in a hoodie and jogging bottoms sits at the centre of the golden dome in semi-darkness, a spotlight shining on him. On the ground is a body covered by a large plastic sheet.

Tosca stands at the centre of the golden dome with her arms outstretched. Only her silhouette is visible against bright lighting. Below, Cavaradossi lies dead on the ground and various people look up at her.

Tosca sits near the edge of the stage, wearing a velvet jacket with a fur collar and cuffs. Scarpia is down on one knee, reaching towards Tosca and brushing her cheek with his finger. She appears unhappy, facing away from him with her eyes closed.

Tosca is on the floor of Scarpia's bedroom on her knees, singing passionately. She holds a large plastic sheet covered in blood close to her chest.
