Alyona Abramova

British based Russian mezzo soprano, Alyona Abramova, was born in Moscow and trained at Moscow’s Maimonides State Classical Academy, the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre, and at the Opernstudio of the Bayerische Staatsoper.Her professional career began in 2018 atBayerische Staatsoper as Mercédès inCarmen and Olga inEugene Onegin. She also sang Third Nymph Rusalka for Glyndebourne Festival Opera.Most recent roles include Maddalena Rigoletto (Opera North), Mercédès (Berlin Staatsoper/Barbenboim), Third NymphRusalka(Teatro Royal, BayerischesStaatsoper, Les Arts, Valencia).On the concert platform, Alyona Abramova has sung as a soloist in Verdi Requiem (Royal Northern Sinfonia), Mozart Requiem (Opêraet Orchestre National de Montpellier, Kyoto Symphony Orchestra) and a concert performance of Rusalka(DeutchesSymphonie-Orchester Berlin).
