Amy J Payne

Amy J Payne was born in South Devon and lives in Leeds. She trained in vocal and opera studies at The Guildhall School of Music & Drama and holds an honours degree in French and German from King’s College, London, where she was also a choral scholar. She has worked for many of the UK’s leading opera companies including Opera North, Garsington Opera, Birmingham Opera Company, Mid Wales Opera and Iford Arts. She is delighted to be making her debut with WNO as The Old Woman in Candide.
