Amy joined WNO in 2023 and has freelanced across the UK, including guest principal roles with the LPO, CBSO, BBC NOW, London Chamber Orchestra and Glyndebourne. She grew up in Croydon and studied on the joint course at the RNCM and the University of Manchester before moving to the Royal Academy of Music for her Masters. While at the RNCM she won the Concerto Competition, and at RAM she won all three oboe prizes.
As a soloist Amy has enjoyed performing many concertos including Joshua Borin’s At Every Turn at the Barbican. At the 2017 Barbirolli International Oboe Competition she won two prizes and was a Philip and Dorothy Green Young Artist award winner with ‘Making Music’.
In 2020 Amy produced the ‘Keeping in Shape’ oboe books to promote healthy warm-ups, and when not performing Amy enjoys classic musicals and playing piano duets.
