Anne Mason
Anne Mason was born in Lincolnshire and studied at the Royal Academy of Music and the National Opera Studio. She began her career in WNO Chorus and went on to make her debut at the Royal Opera House as Emilia Otello. She created the role of Minsk Woman in Flight at Glyndebourne, and has performed many roles at the ROH, ENO, Scottish Opera, Teatro Real Madrid, Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, Dutch National Opera, Aix en Provence Festival, Semperoper Dresden, Opéra de Lille, Opéra national du Rhin, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Aldeburgh Festival and Opera Holland Park. Her roles have included Kostelnička Jenůfa, Fricka Das Rheingold & Die Walküre, Azuecena Il trovatore and most recently as Mrs De Rocher in Dead Man Walking at WNO. She was made a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music in 2008.
