Beca Davies
Overview
Beca Davies is a mezzo-soprano from West Wales and is a Welsh National Opera Associate Artist 2023/2024. She is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where she was a Sheila Osborne scholar. Prior to this, Beca graduated with first class honours in Music from King’s College London.
Beca has sung with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (Götterdämmerung, Edinburgh International Festival) and WNO Orchestra (Tosca, Llangollen International Eisteddfod).Other engagements include LolaCavalleria rusticana (Edinburgh Studio Opera), Cherubino Le nozze di Figaro and Bridget Booth The Crucibleby Robert Ward (Berlin Opera Academy).
Her recent engagements include Hansel Hansel and Gretel (cover Mid Wales Opera); MeinirCyfrinach y Brenin by Mared Emlyn (world premiere, OPRA Cymru); Miss Bourne/Julia Price The Ghost Train by Paul Crabtree (UK premiere, St Magnus International Festival); title role in Helena by Marco Galvani (world premiere, Tête-à-Tête Festival).
