
Carlos Cardoso
Carlos Cardoso is a versatile tenor and a prize-winner of prestigious competitions, including Luísa Todi (First prize), Magda Olivero (First prize male voices), and the Concorso Rubini (Third prize and debut as Ernesto in Don Pasquale).
After seven seasons as a member of the ensemble at the Aalto-Theater Essen, Carlos has been working as a freelance artist since the 23/24 Season, debuting at the National Opera Prague (Carmen), Teatro São Carlos Lisbon (Madam Butterfly, Cavalleria rusticana, Aida), Nuremberg Opera (Madam Butterfly, Carmen), Leipzig Opera (Madam Butterfly), Landestheater Linz (Madam Butterfly), and the National Opera of Tirana (Carmen, Aida), among others.
In the 25/26 Season, Carlos debuts as Cavaradossi in Tosca (Royal Opera Copenhagen), Calaf in Turandot (Landestheater Linz), and performs Verdi’s Requiem with Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra. He also returns to Leipzig Opera as Pinkerton in Madam Butterfly. Further debuts are planned with The Norwegian Opera & Ballet and Cologne Opera.
