Cary John Franklin
Cary John Franklin is an internationally recognised composer with commissions and performances from many of the leading performing ensembles in the United States. His work ranges from chamber to orchestral music and from choral music to opera. Cary has received commissions from Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Washington National Opera, VocalEssence, Dale Warland Singers, Chanticleer and the Kansas City Symphony. He has written three children’s operas and the main stage Loss of Eden for the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. Educated in Minnesota at Macalester College and the University of Minnesota, Cary John Franklin has studied with Pulitzer-prize winning composer Dominick Argento and Dale Warland.
