Overview
Dafydd Allen was a WNO Associate Artist during their 22/23 Season. He studied at the Royal College of Music, graduating with a Distinction in his Master’s of Performance.
Recent highlights include: Don José La tragédie de Carmen (Wexford Festival Opera), La Rose Alcina’s Island (Bampton Classical Opera) and Cover Alfred Die Fledermaus (Grange Festival).
Dafydd is in demand on the concert platform. Recent highlights include: Elgar’s The Apostles (with St Asaph Choral society at St Asaph Cathedral), Elijah and Messiah (North Wales Opera) and Goodall’s Eternal Light: A Requiem (Ealing Choral Society).
In addition to opera, oratorio and recitals, Dafydd has a passion for art song, recently giving a recital with acclaimed musician Malcolm Martineau at BBC Hoddinot Hall. Other recital venues include Cranleigh Arts, Beulah Church (Rhiwbina) and Prideuaux Place (Padstow).
Roles as a WNO Associate Artist include: Stronjek (Stage Technician) The Makropulos Affair, Boris Cherry Town, Moscow (Youth Opera), Agent Blaze of Glory! World Premier and Captain | Crook Candide.
