Dan Perkin

A graduate from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Dan is a piano accompanist, musical director, and workshop leader. Specialising in new opera for young audiences or performers; he is the musical director for WNO Youth Opera, and the RWCMD’s Schools Opera project. He regularly leads workshops and performances for families, people living with dementia, in SEND and mainstream schools, and with those affected by homelessness as a workshop leader for Streetwise Opera. A keen composer of music for young voices, his commission Beekind was performed by over 500 young people as part of WNO’s FREEDOM season and his arrangement of Ar Lan y Môr was performed at the opening of the 6th Senedd for the arrival of Her Majesty The Queen. He is an alumnus of (and now mentor for) Live Music Now and was made an associate of the RWCMD in 2018.
