Daniel studied Music at Cambridge University, followed by Postgraduate study at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Prior to joining WNO, Daniel worked in orchestras in France and Norway and as a music teacher and musician in the Faroe Islands.
Daniel’s personal highlights with WNO so far have been the Wagner operas with Lothar Koenigs, especially Die Meistersinger with Sir Bryn Terfel as Hans Sachs.
Away from WNO, Daniel really enjoys travelling in the Nordic countries as he has a strong interest in the music and culture of this region: 'The country I visit most often is the Faroe Islands and every summer I take part in the rich musical life there.'
