
Fotini Dimou
Fotini has extensive credits for sets and costumes for RSC, National Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre, Bath Theatre Royal, the Royal Court, several national tours and the West End. She also designs costumes for dance and opera, as well as films and TV shows. The BBC film The Dresser, directed by Sir Richard Eyre, won her a BAFTA award for Best Costume Design. For their most recent BBC collaboration, King Lear, she was nominated for an RTS award for Best Costume Design.
Recent engagements include: Costumes for Grace Pervades (Theatre Royal Bath), Set and costumes for Playhouse Creatures (Orange Tree Theatre), Tosca (Sydney Opera), and La Voix Humaine, a short opera film for BBC Music in collaboration with ROH.
Opera design credits include: Dido and Aeneas (Teatro a la Scala and ROH), Manon Lescaut (Baden Baden Opera and Metropolitan Opera), The Flying Dutchman and Tosca (Opera North), and Eugene Onegin (sets only, ENO).
Feature film costume design credits include: Smyrna (Tanweer Productions), The Lonely Planet (Netflix), The Browning Version (Paramount Pictures), Ripley’s Game (New Line Cinema), Skin (Elysian Films), and The Children Act (BBC).
