Gareth studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and the Royal Academy of Music.
Since joining WNO Chorus, Gareth has sung the roles of Cherevin and off stage voice in From the House of the Dead, Streshnev in Khovanshchina, Kaherdin in Le Vin herbé, Faninal's Major-Domo in Der Rosenkavalier and covered Pinkerton in Madam Butterfly. He has also performed as a soloist in WNO Family Concerts in Cardiff and Hong Kong.
Gareth has performed roles including Faust in Mefistofele and the title role in Roberto Devereux for Opera Valladolid, and others for Opera Holland Park and Grange Park Opera. He also sings in concert and oratorio and has broadcast as a soloist with BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra on BBC Radio 3 and 4.
Gareth was runner up in the Wagner Society's Singing Competition in November 2015 and won the President's Award, given by Dame Gwyneth Jones.
