Gary Watkins

Born in South Wales, Gary began his voice training as an officer in the South Wales Police. He studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama under the tutelage of Zoe Cresswell, with further studies under Gerald Davies, Nicolai Gedda and Peggy Trauman. Gary joined WNO Chorus as a tenor and has sung in more than 70 operas to date. He often returns to sing in the Extra Chorus.
