Huw studied at RWCMD and then at the Royal College of Music’s Benjamin Britten International Opera School. Prior to joining WNO, he was a singing teacher at Bangor University, Coleg Menai and the William Mathias Music Centre. He also worked extensively for WNO’s Programmes and Engagement team, giving concerts, leading schools workshops and Come & Sing events, and he was the voice specialist for Youth Opera in North Wales. He was also a team captain for the choir Only Boys Aloud.
Huw thoroughly enjoys being part of the WNO Chorus: ‘Every day has its own highlight. I’m very fortunate to be doing such a unique job with such talented colleagues and friends.’
In his spare time, Huw enjoys running and cycling. He enjoys listening to many genres of music as well as opera, such as rock and metal, and is a keen electric guitarist.
