Iain completed his Undergraduate Degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, studying with John Crawford. He completed his Masters Degree at the Royal College of Music, studying with Detlef Hahn.
Before joining WNO, Iain freelanced around the UK, working with orchestras such as the John Wilson Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra and Royal Northern Sinfonia. He still enjoys working with these orchestras when possible.
Iain’s personal highlights at WNO so far have been getting to know and then perform Der Rosenkavalier, plus Second Violin parts in Mozart operas: 'Exciting, challenging and good fun all in one!'
Away from WNO, Iain enjoys spending time with his nearest and dearest, playing and watching tennis, hiking, being in the sun and exploring the world.
