British bass James Platt studied at the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He was a member of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House. He was both a finalist in the GSMD’s Gold Medal Competition and was awarded the Silver Medal by the Worshipful Company of Musicians. He also won the Richard Van Allan Prize and the Independent Opera Scholarship.
