Jessica Robinson

Welsh soprano Jessica Robinson graduated from RWCMD with a Distinction in MA Opera Performance, having previously gained a First-Class Honours degree. During her studies, she received numerous awards including the Aneurin Davies Memorial Award, Mansel Thomas Prize, Margaret Tann Award and Elias Soprano Award. She was also named a Prince of Wales Scholar and in 2023 represented Wales in the prestigious Cardiff Singer of the World; she won her round thus gaining her place in the Final, a fete Wales had not managed in 27 years and the first time ever for a Welsh female singer.

As an oratorio and concert soloist, Jessica performs widely across the UK, alongside international appearances in New York, China, Switzerland and Italy. Highlights include: Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music (with City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra for BBC Radio 3), performing as a soloist at the 1000 Male Voice Choir Gala (Royal Albert Hall), Handel’s Messiah (WMC) and performances for HRH The Prince of Wales (Buckingham Palace).

Operatic roles include: Countess Almaviva The Marriage of Figaro, Lady Billows Albert Herring, Fox The Cunning Little Vixen, Spirit Dido and Aeneas, and roles with WNO, Grange Park Opera and Longborough Opera.
