Jodi Ann Nicholson

Jodi is a mixed-race, British/Afro-Caribbean artist based in South Wales. Training in contemporary dance at Trinity Laban and exploring Fine Art at Cardiff School of Art & Design, her practice plays with multiple disciplines. Jodi’s work explores the nuances of identity through autobiographical work right through to community projects – exploring how to tell the complex stories that make up who we are. Recent works include the dance/poetry film The Branches of Me and the community project Barry Community Quilt. Jodi is currently developing an autobiographical solo Dear, Love From, telling the story of adoption and birth mother’s grief and love.
