José Fardilha
Portuguese baritone José Fardilha started his musical studies with Cristina de Castro and his debut in 1984 as Masetto Don Giovanni at the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos in Lisbon, his native town. He is a regular guest at the world's greatest opera houses and festivals, including the Wiener Staatsoper, Barbian Centre, Opéra de Paris, Bayerische Staatsoper, Milan’s Teatro alla Scala, Venice’s Teatro La Fenice, the Martina Franca Festival and New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv. José has collaborated with the world’s most renowned conductors including Claudio Abbado, Paolo Carignani, Riccardo Chailly, Michel Corboz, Zubin Mehta and Riccardo Muti, to name a few.
