
Julia Sitkovetsky
British-American soprano Julia Sitkovetsky trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, she continues her studies with Marie McLaughlin and Susan Roberts. She made her debut aged 16 at Glyndebourne Festival Opera and English National Opera, understudying Flora (The Turn of the Screw). Julia has appeared all over Europe, at venues such as Staatsoper Hannover, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Semperoper Dresden, Komische Oper Berlin and Scottish Opera. Julia has also given recitals at the Wigmore Hall and Snape Maltings, and with her father, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, she performed songs by Shostakovich at an International Shostakovich festival in Dresden and at the Petworth Festival. This is Julia's debut with WNO.
Recent engagements: Gilda (Rigoletto), Ida (Henze’s Der junge Lord), Fernando Cortez (Vivaldi’s Motezuma), Le Feu / La Princesse / Le Rossignol (L’Enfant et les sortilèges), Waldvogel (Siegfried), and Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte).
