Meet WNO

Kezia Bienek

British born, of Mauritian and Lithuanian heritage, Kezia moved to London aged 16 to study musical theatre at the Brit School. Drawn to opera, she went on to study at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the Royal College of Music's Benjamin Britten International Opera School, and the Solti Te Kanawa Academia di Bel Canto. 

Recent engagements include the title role Carmen and Beppe L’amico Fritz (Opera Holland Park), Suzuki Madam Butterfly and 2nd Lady The Magic Flute (Welsh National Opera) and Silvia (The Messenger) Orfeo (Opera North), as well as recording Leontina L’esule di Roma for Opera Rara, and a return to Glyndebourne Festival in 2024. Further engagements include Cornelia in David McVicar’s Giulio Cesare, conducted by William Christie, and Dorothée Cendrillon (directed by Fiona Shaw, Glyndebourne on Tour), Forester’s Wife (and cover Fox) The Cunning Little Vixen (WNO) and La frugola Il Tabarro and Gianetta Don Bucefalo (Wexford Festival Opera).
