Lowri Probert
Soprano Lowri Probert recently graduated with a first-class degree from the Royal Northern College of Music where she studied with Jane Irwin. Lowri performed in several of the college opera productions such as Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites. Throughout her studies, she regularly performed as a soloist with the Crickhowell Choral Society. She also participated in numerous workshops and productions with WNO’s Youth Opera, performing excerpts from operas such as Dido and Aeneas, The Magic Flute and The Marriage of Figaro. Lowri was also a Visiting Musician for the Seashell Trust and completed her PGCE in Secondary Music from Manchester Metropolitan University. Lowri will be continuing her studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where she will be studying with Janice Chapman and Marie Vassiliou. Her studies are generously supported by the Starmer Jones Music Trust and the Hywel Davies Trust for Young Musicians.
