Manon Edwards Ahir

Manon Edwards Ahir has been Director of Communications and Marketing at S4C since 2023.

She was most recently Head of Planning and External Affairs at Amgueddfa Cymru | National Museum of Wales after spending a period as Head of News, Media, and Digital at the Welsh Parliament, overseeing the communications and rebrand of the National Assembly for Wales as it evolved to Senedd Cymru. Previously she co-owned and was Managing Director at the award-winning bilingual communications agency, Mela Media, representing a wide roster of private and public sector clients with a specialism in the media and broadcast sector.

Manon also enjoyed a long career as a journalist and series producer at the BBC working in foreign affairs and newsgathering, specialising in politics. She spearheaded the BBC's live election coverage in Wales during the first decade post-devolution and is a BAFTA Cymru award winner. Manon has also worked for Cardiff University as a Journalism and Communications Lecturer at the School of Journalism, Media and Culture.
