Mark Burns

Mark Burns works extensively as a Director and Assistant. He regularly works with The Royal Opera, Scottish Opera, Wexford Festival Opera, Royal Academy Opera, Silent Opera, Welsh National Opera, West Green House and Grimeborn. Mark has a strong association with Buxton International Festival where he has recently directed several productions including Lucio Papirio Dittatore, Tisbe and La Voix Humaine with Dame Felicity Lott. He has also been an Associate Board Member for the festival.  More recently Mark assisted Sir Thomas Allen on his acclaimed production of Don Giovanni for Scottish Opera. Later this Season Mark will be reviving Silent Opera’s production of Vixen for Hong Kong Arts Festival.
