Michael Mofidian

Michael was born in Glasgow and graduated from the University of Cambridge and the Royal Academy of Music. In 2018 he was a Jerwood Young Artist at Glyndebourne Festival, from 2018 to 2020 he was a member of the Royal Opera House’s Jette Parker Young Artists Programme and was in the studio programme of the Grand Théâtre de Genève during the 2021/2022 Season. 

Recent engagements: Créon Medea (debut at Teatro Real, Madrid); Colline La bohème and Der Pfleger des Orest Elektra (ROH); Polyphemus Acis and Galatea (German operatic debut in Potsdam), role debut as Nick Shadow The Rake’s Progress (Grange Festival); Lord Sidney Il viaggio a Reims and Fenicio Ermione (Rossini Opera Festival, Pesaro).
