Oscar Castellino

Oscar Castellino was born in a car on a street in Mumbai. Earlier a software engineer, he discovered his operatic voice at the age of 24 through ‘Giving Voice to India’ an initiative by soprano Patricia Rozario OBE. Teachers include Rozario (Royal College of Music), Donald Maxwell and Adrian Thompson (both RWCMD).

Recent engagements: Onegin and Captain Corcoran in Scottish Opera Pop-Up Opera, Germont La Traviata with Carlo Rizzi and the WNO Orchestra (RWCMD), masterclasses with Wolfgang Holzmair and David Pountney during BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2017.
