Paul Carey Jones

Paul Carey Jones has a growing reputation in the three manifestations of Wotan in Wagner’s Ring Cycle to critical acclaim, most recently his debut at Opéra national de Paris covering The Wanderer in Siegfried and for Longborough Festival Opera in summer 2024.

Paul’s other heldenbariton roles include: The Dutchman The Flying Dutchman, Hans Sachs Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Kurwenal Tristan and Isolde, Amfortas Parsifal, Donner Das Rheingold, Gunther Götterdämmerung, Peter Hansel and Gretel, Dr Schön | Jack the Ripper Lulu.

Further roles and highlights include: Balstrode Peter Grimes (Baltic premiere, Estonian National Opera), Scarpia Tosca, Lescaut Manon Lescaut, Nick Shadow The Rake's Progress, and Don Alfonso Così Fan Tutte, with performances at RBO, WNO, Scottish Opera, Opera Holland Park, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro Comunale Bolzano, and Gothenburg Opera.

Paul was elected as an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in recognition of his contribution to the classical music industry.
