Ronald Samm
Ronald Samm was born and spent his early years in Trinidad. He attended the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the Royal Northern College of Music and the National Opera Studio. He was the first black man to perform the title role of Otello in the UK and his recent work includes, Canio in Pagliacci, Conor Mac Nessa in Deirdre and the Sons of Usna for Cork Opera and the Everyman Theatre and a recording of an excerpt from British composer, Richard Thompson’s The Mask in the Mirror with ENO for their recent Black Lives Matter online series.
