Sam Jones is a widely-respected Chief Executive recognized globally for scaling landmark consumer digital businesses in sports, music, and entertainment and delivering exceptional revenue growth and shareholder return. His responsibilities have seen him in the unique position of developing IP for icons, artists and institutions such as Adele, Madonna, Rihanna, The Telegraph, NFL, The Premier League, ATP, Turner, and EMI Classics. Now as the CEO of Overtier, he oversees a first-of-its-kind venture to build and operate next-generation multi-platform streaming services around the world. Sam was recruited for this role by Bruin Sports Capital, creators of OverTier with WPP, after a series of breakthrough leadership roles with Warner Music Group, Perform, Telegraph and Bauer Media. He is also board advisor to Bruin on matters of direct to consumer, technology, and Venture Capital.

Before Overtier at Bauer Media, Sam was CEO Digital and Executive Board Member for one of the world’s largest private media companies and Europe’s largest broadcaster. His tenure featured rapid growth acceleration of the Bauer audio business as well as the production of the highest rated and awarded digital audio products in Europe. The organization also successfully entered the Finance and Comparison e-commerce verticals investing mid-nine figures in a series of targeted acquisitions.

Before that, as Co-Founder, Board Member, and COO LoveLive, the award-winning direct to consumer live music video distribution business created by Perform Group, Sam saw the company twice recognized by The Times as one of Europe’s fastest growing Tech enterprises as well as scaling through acquisition from Europe to the US. As an MD at sports broadcaster Perform Group, one of Europe’s largest technology success stories ($790m IPO), Sam led the consumer business from Premium TV to its merger with Inform leading to subsequent growth as Perform Group. He took on that role after senior leadership roles at Warner Music Group where he oversaw consumer digital for over 200 global artists. Prior to Warner, Sam co-founded social media start-up Xtaster, growing to a market-leading presence in UK, Germany, and Italy. He currently resides in St Albans with his wife and two children.
