Samuel Snowden
Welsh Baritone Samuel Snowden studied at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). In 2024 he was an Opera Holland Park Young Artist, performing the role of Doctor Bartolo in The Barber of Seville. In September that year he also created the role of John in the premiere of Gresford: Up From Underground by Jonathan Guy (New Sinfonia). In 2020, Samuel was awarded the Sir John Manduell Prize by the RNCM, recognising exceptional work undertaken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He raised £1500 for the Unbeatable Eva campaign singing live on Facebook every night for 150 days, also volunteering with PPE Hwb Wrecsam to create face visors.
Recent highlights include: Masetto Don Giovanni (Cumbria Opera Group), Court Usher Rigoletto (Opera Holland Park), Figaro The Marriage of Figaro, Mr Gobineau The Medium and Minskman Flight (RNCM). Samuel has also performed with Mid Wales Opera, Gothic Opera and English National Ballet.
