Sarah studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Ian Clarke, Philippa Davies and Sharon Williams.
Prior to joining WNO, Sarah held the Sub-Principal Flute position with Scottish Opera. Before that she freelanced in London, played with the Southbank Sinfonia and held the Principal Flute position in Orquestra do Norte in Portugal.
Sarah enjoys the variety of repertoire she performs with WNO: 'It is a joy to play such exquisite operatic repertoire, and for the orchestra to stand alone and perform on stage in concert as well - from the epic performances of Mahler in St David's Hall, to the more intimate performances of the Brandenburg Concertos as part of the Fishguard Festival.'
Sarah is an actor as well as a musician. So away from WNO, she spends her time rehearsing plays, shooting films and learning lines.
