Sioned Gwen Davies
Mezzo-soprano Sioned Gwen Davies studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and completed her training at the National Opera Studio.
She was a 2013/2014 Scottish Opera Emerging Artist and represented Wales at the 2017 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. Sioned’s operatic engagements include Tessa The Gondoliers, The Princess Kalyba Utopia, Limited, Meg Page Falstaff, Second Secretary Nixon in China, Maddalena Rigoletto, Third Lady The Magic Flute, Olga Eugene Onegin, Stewardess Flight, Third Dryad Rusalka, Pitti-Sing The Mikado, Eduige Rodelinda, Third Witch Macbeth, Kate The Pirates of Penzance (Scottish Opera); Pitti-Sing The Mikado, Edwige Rodelinda (cover, ENO); Tisbe La Cenerentola (West Green House); Margarida The Yellow Sofa, Annina La traviata (Glyndebourne); Olga Eugene Onegin (Opera Valladolid); Second Lady The Magic Flute (LFO); title role Carmen (Opera Cymru).
