Steve studied at Chetham’s School of Music and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. He joined WNO as Section Principal Bassoon whilst still an undergraduate at the Guildhall.
Steve’s personal highlights with WNO so far have included Otello and Falstaff productions by Peter Stein, Pelléas et Mélisande with Pierre Boulez in Paris, the Meistersinger concert performance at the BBC Proms and foreign tours to Tokyo and New York.
Away from WNO, Steve has his own online reed-making business. When he’s not working: 'good food, wine and holiday travel are my antidote to a busy schedule.'
