Thomas Blunt

Thomas Blunt studied at Cambridge University and the Royal College of Music. He has held position of Chorus Master at Glyndebourne; Assistant Conductor to Vladimir Jurowski and the London Philharmonic Orchestra; First Kapellmeister at Konzert Theater Bern. He has conducted for Glyndebourne Tour, Welsh National Opera, Royal Danish Opera, Opéra National du Rhin, Buxton Festival, Longborough Festival Opera, ROH2, Orchester Musikkollegium Winterthur, Coro and Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, LPO, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and St Endellion Festival; he has worked at Opera North, Opéra de Lyon, and La Monnaie.

Recent engagements: concerts with BBC National Orchestra of Wales; OSESP; Haydn’s Il Mondo della Luna with Bampton Classical Opera; Das Lied von der Erde with Fifth Door Ensemble at Opera Holland Park
