Wyn Davies

Wyn Davies served his apprenticeship at WNO in the 1970s as repetiteur and Chorus Master and since then his conducting career has taken him to four continents. He was for two years an assistant conductor at the Metropolitan Opera, New York, conductor at the Banff Centre, Canada for two seasons and Director of Music for New Zealand Opera from 2005 to 2019. In this country he has had a long association with Opera North and the Buxton Festival.
