Xavier Boyer

Xavier Boyer's activities span from sound to photography and video. As a sound engineer he has worked with Opéra de Lyon for 20 years, namely for Peter Etvös, Heiner Goebbels, Kahia Saariaho, Thierry Escaich and Pascal Dussapin. He ventured into video through other opera projects with Gary Hill, Alex Olé, and Grégoire Pont and James Bonas with whom he has worked on productions of Carmen (Orchestre national de Lille), L'Enfant et les sortilèges, L'Heure espagnole, and Der Mond (Opéra de Lyon), Snow Queen (Opéra national du Rhin) and Hänsel und Gretel (Cologne Opera). Recently, Xavier assisted Grégoire Pont on Our Precious Planet (Barbican Centre/BBC Symphony Orchestra).
