CânSing
Each year WNO partners with CânSing to create opera specific interactive resources for the CânSing website introducing young people to opera, singing, and musicianship; both within the classroom and beyond. All CânSing / WNO resources are fully bi-lingual (English and Welsh) and include songs, learning tracks, backing tracks, scores, lyrics, song support sheets and warm-ups. All CânSing resources can be uploaded to interactive white boards in classrooms and accessed through any computer using the internet or downloaded. They are also available free of charge to all community singing groups and individuals.
Available resources:
- Toreador Song from Carmen
- Evening Prayer from Hansel & Gretel
- Sosban Fach
- Humming Chorus from Madam Butterfly
- Hammer Song from The Barber of Seville
Each year Welsh National Opera (in partnership with CȃnSing) work with thousands of pupils from primary and secondary schools who gather to sing together at venues across Wales, facilitated by CânSing and WNO vocal animateurs.
