Family Concert
–Overview
A concert like no other.
Fire has been stolen from the gods! Two bears are on the loose, a fly is trying to sing, and Holst’s Mars is about to shake the theatre.
Welcome to a concert where the audience gets to play.
Presenter Elin Llwyd will lead your family through the myths of Ancient Greece, Rome and Wales. Listen, clap and take on challenges as music, dance and spectacular lights bring gods, creatures and legends to life.
Can you clap in 5/4? What does a real harpsichord sound like? And how does it feel when the whole WNO Orchestra plays at full power? There’s no need to know the answers - or the music - before you arrive. Elin will help you discover them as you go!
The concert lasts about one hour and has no interval. Children are welcome to make sounds, react and join in. Ear defenders are available, with English and Welsh captions and BSL interpretation to help more people follow the action.
